Listing Policies

We want Bidbuysell to be as much fun as possible but it must be remembered that Bidbuysell is a site where members use money. Consequently, there are certain ground rules we have put in place when members list items for auction.

1. Make sure you list your item in the correct category. Items placed in incorrect categories will be placed into a suitable category. Auctions selling 'Mature Audience' items will be ended if they are found in inappropriate categories.
2. Choice Listings - where members are given a choice of items (not like the identical items of a Dutch auction) are not allowed.
3. Duplicate listings are not allowed. Instead, use the Dutch Auction Format
4. Item description may not contain URL's to other web sites unless the link directs members to more information about the item for auction.
5. About Me pages may not promote specific sales or contain links to commercial websites.
6. 'Wanted' Ads are not allowed on Bidbuysell and will be ended.
7. Bonus items are allowable as long as the seller clearly stipulates the price at which these shall be available. Bonus items in Dutch Auctions must be available to all winning bidders. Failure to comply will result in the auction being ended.
8. ANY auction that attempts to implement techniques or systems to circumvent or not pay Bidbuysell fees will be ended.
9. ANY auction that attempts to distort the reserve price requirement in a reserve auction with be ended.
10. Do not use brand names in your item description unless they relate to the item. This is spamming.
11. You may not add any surcharges, including credit card surcharges, to the item cost or postage cost.
12. If additional charges apply to an auction (for example, the use of an Escrow) this must be stipulated in the Item Description.
13. JavaScripts that interfere with page displays or direct members to other areas are not allowed.
14. You may not use profanity in a listing. The exceptions being DVD's and CD's with profanities in their titles. You many 'blurb-out' a profanity - for example; s*** or f***.
15. Ended auctions shall have their insertion fees credited automatically.
