Bidbuysell members may not list any item that resembles or is similar to identification documents such as drivers' licenses, birth certificates, passports etc. Nor may member list completed application forms for government issued identification documents.

Other documents prohibited from listing include:

  • License plates (although expired plates maybe listed)
  • Fake ID cards
  • Commercial airline, flight attendant, train and railway staff uniforms or parts thereof. (Although uniforms older than ten years of design no longer in use may be listed.

    Hacked User Accounts

    Bidbuysell endeavours to provide a safe and secure environment for members, however if you suspect your account has been accessed by someone, follow the tips listed below:

    1. Check that no one who uses your computer has accidentally accessed your Bidbuysell account.

    2. Change your email password and always make sure that it is never the same as your Bidbuysell account.

    3. Ask us for a new password for your Bidbuysell account.

    4. Create a new secret question for your account to be used as a security check should you require another account password in the future.

    5. Verify your personal contact details for your account.

    6. Once logged into your account, go to the My Bidbuysell area and make sure there are no active bids that you have not begun yourself. If you discover an unauthorised bid(s), retract the bid(s) and contact us immediately.

    Be on the look out for:
  • Bidbuysell 'Forgot your password' emails that you did not request. NEVER change your password or input any information to such an email if you have not requested it. Instead contact us.

    Headers on emails - how to find them Whenever you email Bidbuysell about an email you have received, always remember to included the entire header in the email to us. The 'header' is the group of characters and letters that included phrases like 'Return path', 'X-mailer' 'reply to' etc.

    If this information is not provided on the email, you can usually find it by clicking on the 'properties' then 'options' buttons in your email program.
