HELP CONTENT

Bidbuysell provides a safe site for using your credit card to make purchases. All transactions are encrypted and scrambled.

Bidbuysell will ask you to provide your credit card details if you start a seller's account. Your credit card will then be billed each month automatically for the previous month's fees.

You will also be asked to provide credit card details by Bidbuysell if you utilise a free email service. Bidbuysell requires credit or debit card details that show your name along with your card company's logo. This is simply to prove that you are who you purport to be, living at the address you nominate. This is done as free email accounts may be created without having to provide any form of identification.

While you are not charged to join Bidbuysell, we do require the above procedures to ensure that the site is run safely for members. Solving credit card problems
Why was my credit card declined?
There can be a number of reasons for this:

  • If using a Debit card, perhaps you have reached your daily debit limit.
  • Has your card expired? If so, once you have received your replacement card from your credit card company, make sure you Register a New Credit Card.
  • Check your balance by telephoning your credit card company and/or banking facility.
  • Check to see that there are no blocks on your card that prevent you using the card over the telephone or on the Internet.
  • If you face persistent problems using your credit or debit card, remember that you may also pay your Bidbuysell seller's fees by cheque or money order.

Credits for Fees Under some circumstances, credits may be issued for the final value of an item if:

  • The highest bidder never responds to you.
  • The highest bidder backs out of the deal
  • Payment is not received
  • The highest bidder is unable to pay for the item due to unforseen circumstances.

You may be entitled to a partial credit if:

  • The end of sale price is actually lower than the highest bid.
  • The highest bidder declines the item and you sell the item to the next highest bidder.
  • One or more of the participants in a multiple item auction declines the sale.

To request a credit for fees you must:

  • Wait seven (7) days for the bidder to reply.
  • Complete the Unpaid Items form within 45 days of the auction.
  • Attempt to resolve the issue with the buyer for ten days
  • Complete the Credit Request Form within 45 days of the auction.

Should Bidbuysell require more information about the situation, we will contact you by email.

    PLEASE NOTE:
  • Members who attempt to make false claims will be suspended
  • Non payers will be traced by their credit card details.
