Can I retract or cancel my bid?

HELP CONTENT

With the exception of real estate and sales of businesses, once you have made a bid you have entered into a legally binding contract with the seller. For that reason, Bidbuysell always asks you to confirm your bid before it is actually posted. Bid retractions are rarely given.

A bid retraction means that your bid is deleted from the auction. Keep in mind that when you make a bid, you enter into a contract and if you are the highest bid at the end of the auction, you are obliged to pay the seller.

In rare and special circumstances, a bid may be retracted:

· Incorrect entry of a bidding figure. For example, you enter $110.00 instead of $11.00. Note: You will always be asked to confirm a bid, so make sure you have entered the correct amount! · The seller suddenly changes the item description. · The seller is unreachable after you have won the auction. · You place a bid and then wish to retract it before the last 12 hours of the auction. This must be done within one hour of placing the bid. · If you wish to retract a bid during the last twelve hours you may ask the seller to do so, however it is at their discretion whether they agree to do so.

All confirmed bid retractions will be displayed in the feedback section of your profile.

You may initiate a bid retraction by using the Bid Retraction form.

Bid retractions do not apply to Buy it Now items.
